By Matt Weaver — Fans of short track racing (and a variety of other motorsport disciplines) may have widespread reason to rejoice in the coming weeks as NASCAR teased a major announcement on Friday morning in announcing FansChoice.tv.
The official announcement will take place at 1:30 ET on Wednesday, the launch date of the streaming service.
Sources close to the project have told Popular Speed that FansChoice.tv will be free to use and the teaser video shows numerous racing tours in action, including the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, Whelen Modified Tour, AMA Pro Racing and the United SportsCar Series.
The teaser ended with the channel’s slogan:
The events’ production is expected to be contain much more than a single camera set-up and with the recent explosion of the WWE Network, UFC Fight Pass, Hulu and Netflix, it appears that motor racing has become the next niche to join the realm of over the top online streaming.
